Some movies you should see.

I just recently saw this movie, and it has already worked its way into my top 10. I love how the movie deals with complex relationships and the conditions we try to put on them--To even try to explain would discredit the movie. Just watch it. On top of the subject matter, the movie is just shot beautifully with a great soundtrack to back. Also, notice the use of one of my favorite songs of all time (The Notwist - "Consequence) in the trailer.

Ever tried to make someone love you? Then this is the movie for you.

Slow-moving but absolutely gripping. The emotional pay-off at the end is well-worth the watch. Did I mention Jennifer Connelly?

This movie embodies everything about being absolutely crazy over a girl.

Creatively grand and quirky. This movie really makes you feel like you're in a dream. Maybe not for everyone, but definitely for me.

Personally, Amelie ain't got shit on this movie. Plus, Marion Cotillard = must watch.

Believe the hype. One of the most haunting and engaging movies I've ever seen.

This brought a tear to my eye. This will go down as one of the greatest moments in NBA history.

Never knew a luh-luh, a love like this.

The Kid

Happy for the Big Ticket. The game is still going on, but it looks like it's a done deal. Happy for Kev, though. He delivered when it mattered.

Here's to the next 5 years, Laker fans.

Big ups to Erv for the link.

Favorite song of all time.

Of anyone alive, this is the one person I'd love to see in concert the most.

One of the greatest that ever did it.

Nothing but chills past the 3 minute and 45 second mark. All the improvising at 5 minutes and 30 seconds equals goosebumps.

How I Met Your Mother

As far as television goes, I'm rather picky with what I watch. Some of my favorite shows include Weeds, Entourage, The Wire, Lost and Heroes. However, when it comes to recommending shows to people, I recommend How I Met Your Mother the most, if not only because I cannot imagine a person that would not enjoy it. A lot of my favorite shows aren't for everyone. Case in point, Lost is totally out there, Heroes is for geeks, The Wire takes a lot of patience and investment (well worth it, though), etcetera etcetera. But when it comes to How I Met Your Mother, the show is totally universal-- a heartwarming, touching and hilarious outlook on dating, heartbreak and finding true love. Wow, emo. I liken it to a more up to date Friends (although I've never watched Friends, but I like to reach). It is a very accessible show. Treat yourself. Rent or buy it. The show is now on its 3rd season. Catch up.

THE GOOD

I know this song is old, but this girl is mad talented. I really hope she sticks around.

Rick Ross is truth. If you're too busy on your backpack Paid Dues tip, go cry yourself an emo river. For another treat, go listen to his "Maybach Music" with Jay.

The Bad (and the Ugly)

This has to be the worst idea of all time. Alice Deejay, no thanks. This track belongs back in 95 when your mom was at raves. This is enough ugly for one post.

Why I'm sad that I'm not going to Coachella.

And if Prince wasn't a bitch and let his shit stay up on Youtube, I'd post "Purple Rain."

Oh well, no sunburn and hipster watching this weekend.

A must see for all my basketball fans.

Glow in the Dark

On a brighter note (no pun intended), Kanye's Glow in the Dark Tour is epic. For those who have the opportunity to see him, scalp some tickets. It is worth the money to see a genius at his prime. I have been to my fair share of concerts, and I can honestly say that this show was the best I've been to. For my LA heads, he'll be back in town at the Staples Center on June 7th. Go.

The worst things can happen just outside your window.

Man, just when you think that home is the safest place you can be, reality gives you a slap in the face.

I came home this evening and found a news van outside my house. Apparently, my neighbors' mother, a 91 year old woman, was hit by a minivan earlier this morning just down the street from my house. She passed away. It was a hit and run.

At this point, there is only one eyewitness. I post this in hopes that somebody out there may have any information. If you do, the link above has the information on how to contact the authorities. I also post this to ask y'all to be careful when walking around, even in your own neighborhood.

Be safe y'all.
